Exploring the lost queer spaces of Lewisham as part of Lewisham Borough of Culture 2022.

Using the exhibition as a device for the collection of oral histories, the installation intends to induce a nostalgic feel inspired by archive photographs and interviews by Paul Green [Avant Gardening].

Through animation, the stories are collected and the transcripts interpreted to produce a series of animated spatial abstractions - an uncertain blend of past and future.

How can technology and installation combine to produce queer modes of research? Can art and installation take you on a guided remembrance and is the outcome joyous or melancholy? Do our memories become clearer with nostalgia or muddied?
